The dragon is a mythological powerful and benevolent symbol of the Chinese culture. Chinese dragon traditionally symbolizes potent and auspicious powers. Interestingly, dragons are also found in Indian mythology where Indra battled the dragon for 360 days and ultimately killed him. It was a typical “Good Prevails over Evil’, fable. It remains to be seen if and how far the traditional Indian folk-lore of taming the Dragon is relevant today?

According to legend humanity differentiates a man from a demon or a devil. A demon does not know the value of honesty, faithfulness, obedience, and civility, whereas, for a man, these are basic values.

Do people in the private sector have the experience, expertise or commitment to run defence establishments? Even if they do, would they keep producing inventory of items on which don't sell in large numbers, do not make profit or need to be stocked for a long - for use in event of a war?

It may still be early to say if and when online education will totally or partially replace the traditional classroom system. But the day is not far when online or off-campus learning will gain back door entry and add to or replace campus-based education-- sooner or later

India has the dubious distinction of being one of the top arms importers. This undue dependence on imported military hardware often comes at a price and time India cannot afford as it happened during the Kargil war when India had to pay through its nose for inadequate and substandard weapons. Would corporatization of the Ordnance Factory Boards help heal India's age-old pain in the neck? Why can’t India produce the adequate quantity and quality of the weapons and equipment demanded?
