What inspired you to create the International Chamber for Public Relations? What was the gap you feel need to be addressed?

Over the years, I realised that communication and public relations, though vital, are often treated as auxiliary functions rather than core strategic pillars in organisations, institutions and so on. The ICPR was born out of the idea to create a global platform that makes PR central to leadership, reputation management, and stakeholder engagement. I wanted to bring together experts, young aspirants, and visionaries in a structured and professional forum where they could learn, collaborate, and grow.

What is your long-term vision for ICPR? Where do you see it five years from now?

I see ICPR becoming the global thought leader in public relations, not only offering certifications and knowledge exchange but also setting standards and advocating for ethical, inclusive, powerful and impactful communication practices worldwide. In five years, I envision chapters across continents, a vibrant mentor-mentee ecosystem, and a recognised voice influencing public discourse globally.

How is ICPR different from other PR organisations or associations?

While many associations focus on networking, media, communication, image upliftment or certifications however none of them so far could cater to all, that makes PR a PR, in-short from Public Relations to Personal Relations. We at ICPR just not believe in setting your business/networking right however we plan and set you as a Brand.

We are creating an ecosystem where practitioners, students, academics, and corporate leaders come together to address real challenges. Our focus is on bridging the skill gap, driving innovation in PR, and emphasising communication as a leadership and crisis management tool — not merely a media management function.

In todays digital-first world, what role does Public Relations play in shaping brands and narratives?

It has huge impact, as what we portray is conceived and adopted by the spectators, I must mention public relations has evolved from press releases and media coverage to being the custodian of trust and authenticity. In the digital era, where misinformation can travel faster than truth, PR ensures that brands remain transparent, empathetic, and responsive. It is not just about brand building — it’s about brand sustaining.

How does ICPR plan to help young professionals and entrepreneurs?

We are developing mentorship programs, hands-on workshops, global internships, and knowledge partnerships with academia and industry leaders. For entrepreneurs, communication is survival — and ICPR will empower them to articulate their brand vision effectively, handle crises smartly, and engage meaningfully with diverse stakeholders.

You are involved in many start-ups. How do you decide which projects to pursue?

My mantra has always been “Think, Re-Think-Analyse & Evaluate — then JUST DO IT”. I believe timing and intuition play an important role in my life. If an idea solves a genuine problem, is scalable, and resonates with my values, I take the plunge. Passion sustains you, but clarity guides you.

Being an entrepreneur is challenging. How do you stay calm and make tough decisions in stressful situations?

Ohh.. I go peace-less too though this happen rarely.. Most of the times my mind is is at peace and this enables me make sound decisions. I have consciously cultivated mindfulness — whether through short breaks, reflection, or structured decision-making frameworks, going spiritual, doing meditation or participating into whatsoever feeds my soul.. I believe, It’s not about avoiding storms and having control over perhaps is all about hiking and solving it with contentment without it effecting your inner-self.

As a self-made woman entrepreneur, what message would you like to give to young women aspiring to enter entrepreneurship?

Believe in your ideas, inner-self and voice it well on time. Surround yourself with enablers, not doubters. Women have inherent multitasking and empathy skills — these are superpowers in the business world. The journey will test you, but self-belief and persistence will make you unstoppable.

How do you balance being a visionary and staying grounded in day-to-day operations?

I pray a lot and that gives the core to my strength. I, do delegate and empower., Micromanagement stifles creativity and I trust my teams. However, I stay connected with the pulse of operations through regular reviews and interactions. Staying rooted  allows me to make pragmatic decisions while still dreaming big.

Finally, what do you want your legacy to be — both through ICPR and your entrepreneurial ventures?

I want to be remembered as someone who gave platforms to others, who empowered minds to think boldly and communicate fearlessly. Whether through ICPR or my start-ups, my mission is to leave behind institutions that nurture creativity, ethics, and global collaboration.
