Bank of India Officers Association organizes two-day cricket tournament

Bank of India Officers Association, UP and Uttarakhand as well as Ghaziabad Zonal Officers Association organized a two-day cricket tournament at the New Star Cricket Ground, Sector 120 Noida.

The tournament was inaugurated by Saurabh Srivastava, General Secretary of the Bank of India Officers Association, UP and Uttarakhand Unit, and Dr. OP Lal, Deputy-Zonal Manager, Ghaziabad Zone.

Four teams from Bank of India, Ghaziabad zone namely – Meerut Super Kings, ZO Superstars, Noida Warriors, and Ghaziabad Champions participated in this two-day tournament.

The final match was played between Meerut Super Kings and ZO Superstars.

ZO Superkings played first, and scored 185 runs in twenty overs with the help of Ayush’s unbeaten 132 off 64 balls and gave Meerut Superkings a target of 186 runs to win.

Meerut Super Kings won the match by 7 wickets in just 15 overs with the help of Tarun Suman’s 68 runs. Sachin Kumar scored 49 runs, while captain Bhushan Kumar hit 32 runs in 10 balls.

Ayush Kumar was adjudged the Best Batsman of the tournament, while Shariq Khan was adjudged the Best Bowler. Bhushan Kumar was declared Man of the Series, while Tarun Suman was declared Man of the Final Match.

Dr. O P Lal, Deputy-Zonal Manager, Bank of India, Ghaziabad Zone, gave the winner’s trophy to Bhushan Kumar, Captain of the Meerut Superkings Team.

The runner-up trophy went to Rishi Rajak, captain of ZO Super Stars.

Addressing the gathering Dr. OP Lal Deputy-Zonal Manager congratulated Sachin Vats, Zonal President of Ghaziabad Zone, Bank of India Officers Association, Suman Kumar, Zonal Secretary, as well as Executive Members Jagpal Singh, Sunil Pandey, and Akhil Mohan for successfully organizing the cricket tournament in their zone. He also congratulated Anu Tanwar, executive member of the Ladies Wing for organizing such a wonderful sports event. Dr. OP Lal also thanked the players who came from different districts and praised their excellent game.
