Samsung A8 the latest product from its stable is an extremely thin 5.9 mm phone with a huge 5.7 inch screen. The home button in this handset also doubles up as a fingerprint sensor.
Some of the other festures include Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, powerful octa-core Snapdragon 615 chipset and 16 and 32 GB storage options with 4G/LTE connectivity and 16 MP main camera and a 5 MP front camera.
The phone has a fixed 3,050 mAh Lithium-Ion battery and is available in black, white and gold colour and weighs just 151 grams.
Many manufactuurers tried competing against each to launch the ‘slimmest smartphones’. Gionee launched the World’s Slimmest Smartphone – ELIFE S5.5 in India. HTC launched One M9, came up with BlackBerry Leap while Sony announced its flagship Sony Xperia Z4.
Not to be left behind Samsung one of the largest manufacturers of smartphones in the world managed to create a slim and fully featured-phone.
