Nepal

A small country like Nepal with a budget of 32 billion dollars, one of the poorest country in the world, that wanted to be part of India in 1947, is on Chinese instigation not only amending its constitution to include 370 km area of India unilaterally but is also resorting to firing on the border that killed one Indian citizen on Friday 12 Jun 2020 and wounded two. Time this country and its communist PM Oli need to be taught a lesson by India which they will remember for years to come.

Nepal on the instigation of China, from where its ruling communist party and PM Oli take orders, is amending its constitution to unilaterally include Lipulekh and Kalapani Area, well under the control of India as their own. Needless to say, this has surprised India because this 370 km of the area has been all along with India. In the 19th century, there was a treaty with British in which Nepal was to hold all areas East of the kali river while all areas West of Kali river which includes Lipulekh and Kalapani was part of then British India and now India. Now suddenly Nepal wants to include areas of three tributaries of Kali River of which Lipulekh and Kalapani become part. The entire dispute started after Indian Defence Minister Raj Nath Singh recently inaugurated Lipulekh pass road of length almost 86 km to facilitate the movement of Indian pilgrims visiting Man Sarovar. Indian stand is that when India started constructing this road well inside the Indian Territory a few years back Nepal had no objections.

Now when China is creating problems for India in Eastern Ladakh and the two armies are at eyeball to eyeball confrontation, Suddenly Nepal has jumped into the fray. This just shows that this country for whom India has done so much and which is known as only Hindu country in the world has now firmly gone over to China thanks to its PM Oli and his ruling communist party taking orders from China.

If this is not enough Indian SSB which is responsible for guarding Nepal border has urgently written to Central Government at Delhi and State Govt at Bihar that in Lipulekh and Kalapani area on pillars 742 and 766 in villages Suda, Palia, Mirchia, and Sampurna Nagar Nepali settlers are illegally occupying the land. Also, three Indian nationals Lagan Rai, his two sons Shatrughan Rai and Vinay Rai had gone to Nepal border to meet his daughter in law Anchala Devi who belongs to Nepal. The Nepal Police on a small discussion opened fire on them killing Lagan Rai and wounding Shatrughan Rai. Surely this cannot be condoned. Sitamarhi MP Sunil Kumar pinto is right when he says that the Nepal Police has fired on the two country’s relations.

Surely India cannot take it laying down. Time has come to teach Nepal a lesson. India now must go all out to break Nepal. It must be remembered that Madhesi’s who occupy all the plains area of Nepal and hate the high-minded snooty Hill people who form the current Government, India should include these people and the area they occupy Into India.

India should also tell Nepal that Lipulekh and Klapani areas belong to India and India will never part with it. India should also close its border with Nepal and establish proper BOPs as Nepal has done by establishing its five BOPs. Similarly, India must send back 25000 Nepali Gorkhas which it employs in its Army.  We do not need them. Why should our jobs go to Nepal?

Similarly, let us stop all concessions given to Nepal on the supply of the essentials via Calcutta. India must understand that Nepal is now firmly in China camp otherwise it would not have dared to cock a snook at us. So now let it fully fall back on China and stew in its own petard.
