Top 100 richest women in India today

Only nine out of 100 richest Indians in 2022 were women. Even globally, the number of female billionaires is almost negligible as compared to men. The reason is simple. Whatever people may say, women don’t get equal opportunities to achieve what they are capable of. In today there are many home in India today where boys are encouraged to pursue higher studies, while girls do household work and are married off. But in the last few years things have begun to change. The number of women in the workforce has increased many fold. This is a positive sign.   

According to Deloitte’s Global Women in the Boardroom report almost 19.7 percent (14,739 women in some 51 countries) are on the board of Directors. France tops the list as 43.2 percent of board seats are held by women, India with about 17 percent women board members still has a long way to go and ranks 29.

But as we all know money is what makes the mare go. Even today, more so money is the ultimate equalizing factor and wealth automatically brings status and power. As a result women who were one of the most ill-treated and marginalized section of the society, have slowly but surely started calling the shots and are becoming big name in the game of money, success and power.
