The original idea of providing reservations for scheduled castes and scheduled tribes was not merely to improve their economic status but also to address the denial of rights and the oppression meted out to them over the years. Have reservations served this purpose?

Quite interestingly though, Gadkari himself presides over the Ministry that oversees the work of NHAI for the past so many years.

Dissent brings forth an issue that may not be held to be valid at a particular point in time but keeps the door open for wisdom dawning at some later date.

The responsibility of communal amity must rest equally upon the shoulders of all the communities. There should be no discrimination for whatever reason.
