Tarun Kumar Banjaree

Tarun Kumar Banjaree is a retired Commandant of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police with 27 years of combined service in ITBP and the Indian Navy. A Senior Command Course graduate from the Army War College, Mhow, he served in anti-Naxal operations in Chhattisgarh, Sino-Indian border guarding in Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh, and election duties across the country. He served as Deputy Leader of the Clean Ganga Expedition recognised in the Golden Book of World Records. As lead petitioner among 72 CAPF officers, he brought the OGAS implementation case before the Supreme Court of India, which delivered judgment in their favour on 23 May 2025.
