Dr T S Sethurathnam 95 years ( he would have completed 95 years on 11th april and started his 96th year ) passed away on 10th January night at his son S Ravi s home in Saket New Delhi. Both the sons of TS Sethurathnam and his daughter in laws and his three grandchildren Abhishek Ravi and Akshay Ravi and Chinmay Vasudevan were with him when he took his last breath.
Dr T S Sethurathnam was active at work till he was in late 80 s. He was suffering from old age ailments and in the last few weeks his health deteriorated. Dr T S Sethurathnam s wife Mrs Shakuntala Sethurathnam was also next to him when he took his last breath .
Dr T S Sethurathnam was a national institutional builder and a pillar of the power sector in India
Dr T S Sethurathnam had served as the Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board and The chairman of BSES. He held various positions and directorships. He had done more than 70 arbitrations in his lifetime.He worked extensively in the power sector. He was in various committees of the Government of India including the first privatisation committee of the power sector.
